The first shirtsleeve walk of the year, hurrah – well I had my arms out to collect some rays, but of the other 26, all muffled up with scarves, coat, etc, at least most had dispensed with gloves. As we gathered, the Buzzard started to be seen; first up the valley, then down the valley,

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
