Peregrine Watch – July 2026

This year the Avon Gorge Peregrines nested on a ledge opposite our usual watch point. There was anew female (with some reports of last year’s female having been seen around Sea Walls early in theseason), the male was possibly the same as last year. They successfully fledged four juveniles (one maleand three females) around 10

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded in 1967, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
