Even though the Kings Wood car park was packed with dog walkers we still managed to find room here and in various lay-bys for the 14 walkers that turned up for this walk. As we left the car park we went in the glorious summer woodland and first saw Nuthatch and Great Spotted Woodpecker. We

The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded in 1967, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
