Forty-one members met at The Riverside pub car park on a mostly cloudy, but dry, day. One of many Song Thrushes we heard was singing but could not be seen. A band of Goldfinches was flitting between the trees which were also visited by many Redwings. In a field across the river was a flock

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded in 1967, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
