Tuesday 22 October – Severn Beach
October 22, 2013
Despite the weather forecast 22 members walked along the seawall from Severn Beach to New Passage in time for the high tide roost. Conditions were not pleasant, being very windy with driving rain at times . The only birds of note were three Shelducks flying south. When we reached New Passage the weather improved and

The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
