Tuesday 04 August – Felton Common Leader: Melanie Patch

It was 21C and stayed dry. Fourteen of us met by St Katherine’s church on Felton Common. Swallows and a House Martin were feeding around us as we made our way across the common and we glimpsed several Skylarks fluttering around the bracken. Some of us also briefly saw a Stonechat with the House Sparrows

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded in 1967, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
