Tuesday 05 November – Bleadon Levels Nature Reserve Leader: Jane Cumming

The meeting place for 20 members was the car park at the Weston Sewage Treatments Works. From the car park we saw a large flock of Canada Geese, with the total count for the morning being 100. Our route followed part of the Brean Down Way which was opened in 2017 and runs from Weston-super-Mare

The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
