Sunday 16 September – Uphill and Bleadon Leader: Jane Cumming
September 16, 2018
Ten members including two guests from the USA met at Uphill boatyard. It was dull and overcast with a southerly breeze so perhaps not so good for any expected migrants. We followed the usual route through the boatyard and quarry. A Little Egret and Little Grebe were eventually located on the caravan park pond but

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
