Thirty of us started the walk in dampish and dull weather which brightened as the walk progressed. Near the start we began to see birds which included some House Sparrows chattering in a hedge. As we walked across fields several Wood Pigeons, a Magpie and a Robin made themselves known. Walking along a hedge lined

The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
