Tuesday 21 October – Leap Valley, Downend Leaders: Joyce Donkor & Kate Cashmore

Nineteen members braved the rain for the walk at Leap Valley and over to Moorend – they must have heard it was Graham’s 100th consecutive Tuesday walk. Despite the drizzle the walk started well with a noisy Great Spotted Woodpecker (two in total for the day), 31 Long-tailed Tits (in total), a Chiffchaff, three Goldcrests

The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
