27 of us boarded the coach for the annual trip to the Exe estuary. We had a smooth journey to our starting point at Exminster Marshes Nature Reserve. An easy walk to the canal followed where we could look over the marshes to see Canada Geese, Brent Geese, Curlew and a Marsh Harrier hunting. We

Bristol Ornithological Club
The Bristol Ornithological Club (BOC) became a Charity (1205862) in 2023, was founded, in 1966, to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the scientific study of ornithology in all its branches in the Bristol area.
The Aims of the Charity
To advance education for the public benefit in ornithology and matters related to the
conservation of wild birds in particular within Bristol and the surrounding area by:
a. promoting and taking part in local and national studies and surveys,
b. supporting and assisting the conservation and preservation of wild birds and their
habitats through co-operation with local and national organisations
